HOUSE OF RISE
Zurich's first purpose-driven community & inspiration space
Concept
The House of RISE will be an inspiring place of encounter, growth and change in Zurich. With a clear focus on holistic wellbeing, social change and sustainable living, it will provide a platform where people can come together to create
positive impacts for their city and the greater good. It will not only be a center for personal development, but also a living example of the potential of a harmonious, conscious and connected future.
Space Conecpt & Design
Welcome
Open, welcoming meeting point: The House of RISE will create an open, inviting
space that fosters interaction.
Natural In- & Outdoor Spaces
The use of natural materials such as wood, stone, and plants will create a calming atmosphere. A small outdoor garden or rooftop area with herbs and vegetables can provide relaxation and a sense of connection to nature in the city.
Restaurant
A health-focused restaurant offering plant-based cuisine will nourish
the physical body with fresh, local, and seasonal dishes, while embodying
principles of sustainability. It will also serve as a casual meeting point for guests and local residents.
Therapy Rooms
Quiet, intimate therapy rooms will be available for individual
healing sessions, including sound healing, meditation, massages, or other alternative therapies.
Events
Group Room for Daytime Movement Classes and Evening Events: This space will host yoga, dance, or fitness classes during the day, while in the evening, it will feature rotating events such as breathwork, concerts, panel discussions, and film screenings.
Childrens Area
Children’s Play and Exploration Area: Inspired by Montessori and Steiner
principles, influenced by Gerald Hüther, this area will provide a dedicated space for two age groups—children aged 2-6 and 7-11 years.
Accomodation
Co-Living (10-15 Beds): A temporary retreat option for spiritual travelers,
offering a transformative environment where guests can live temporarily, find
peace, and engage with a creative community.
Library
Multimedia Information Library: This area will provide both physical and digital resources on holistic health, sustainability, spirituality, and personal
development.

Social & Sustainable Principles
01
Fostering Community and Connection
-
Community Experiences and Events: Regular events like communal dinners, creative gatherings, film nights, or weekend retreats will strengthen the sense of belonging and create positive social connections.
-
Spiritual Support and Exchange: The space will offer room for spiritual exchange, where people can share their experiences and challenges and learn from each other.
02
Sustainability as a Core Principle
-
Sustainable Design: The House of RISE will be eco-friendly, featuring energy-efficient solutions, sustainable materials, and a focus on waste reduction.
-
Reduce, Reuse, Regenerate: The center will promote sustainable practices by saving resources, finding creative ways to reuse materials, and supporting regenerative projects like urban gardening or upcycling initiatives.
03
Supporting Local Businesses and Creatives
-
Marketplace for Local Arts and Products: A small marketplace in the House of RISE will showcase local artwork, artisanal products, and sustainable foods to support local talent and entrepreneurs.
-
Collaboration with Local Vendors: Partnerships with nearby farms, bakeries, and suppliers will ensure fresh, local products for the restaurant and strengthen the regional economy.
